Ok so as promised here’s a short video walk-through showing how I edited some of the photographs from the recent studio shoot with Danny Bartlett using Photohop. I did consider including a written walk-through including screen captures but to be honest having started it I soon realised it would have gone on for quite some time despite this being a quick technique (Apologies for those who would have preferred this).
The technique only consists of 2 main steps making using of the Desaturate adjustment and dare I admit it, the High Pass Filter. At the start of the video before getting into adjusting the colour & tone of the photograph I also show some minor retouching using the Liquify Filter including a little tip to help Photoshop work just that little bit quicker.
As always I’d love to ‘hear’ your thoughts/comments about what I go through in the video so please feel free to make use of the comments section below.
By the very nature of how photoshop works, there are literally limitless ways of doing the same thing, so do you create a similar look but go about it in a different way? If you do, then why not share it in the comments section below.
Enjoy![]()
