Following on from a recent photo shoot with ‘The Debonaires’ I thought you might like to see some of the Post Production that went into editing one of the photographs.
The photograph I’m going to edit for you in this series of videos is Picture ‘B’ from an earlier blog post and the kind of things I’ll be showing you are:
- Removing ‘Stuff’
- Adding Contrast
- Dodging & Burning
- Enhancing Detail
- Finishing Touches
So to kick things off I’m going to be ‘Removing Stuff’ and as I’m using Photoshop CS5 I’m going to show you how I use ‘Content Aware Fill’. One thing I do want to point out, is that all the editing you will see in the next few videos can be done in earlier versions of Photoshop; it’s just that CS5 has made doing the things we’ve always done using tools such as the Clone Stamp and Healing Brush so much easier and more importantly, so much quicker.
There is one thing I’ll say about using Content Aware Fill and this you do not have to accept the first results it gives you. Each time you use Content Aware Fill you’ll get different results…some good, some bad so just undo the result if you’re not happy and try again.
So here as promised is Part 1:
If you have any questions or comments about what you’ve seen in this video then feel free to post them in the comments section below.
